
Emily McBride is an artist and craftsperson residing in Minneapolis, MN. Creating objects and images using repetitive and meditative processes, her work explores themes of desire, sensations of touch, and visual stimulus. McBride earned her MFA in Craft/Material Studies from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2016 and her BFA in Glass from Tyler School of Art at Temple University in 2009. In 2022, she was named one of ten artists in the nation for the Emerging Artist Cohort with the American Craft Council. McBride has held artist residencies at the Museum of Glass in Tacoma, WA in 2022, Chicago Ave Fire Arts Center in Minneapolis, MN in 2023, and the Peninsula School of Art in Fish Creek, WI in 2024.
