JAF, a late-blooming (2018) mixed-media artist, who recently moved back to his roots in Minneapolis after 20 years in Seattle, is known for his colorful collage and abstract pieces of displaced old porn mags, Bibles, books, stickers, and everything in between. His thought-provoking work shines a light on sexuality, religion, and pop culture. The use of letters, words, and numbers carries puns, hidden messages, and blatant irreverence. His works have been exhibited in Seattle galleries and Minneapolis group shows.
