These are prints of gouache portraits from stace of spades' Body Project. They celebrate real-life women & people of marginalized genders, contributing to the normalization of genuine bodies. Stacey hopes that the more nipples, cellulite, and body hair we see, the less weird feelings we'll have around it all (on ourselves and others).
Stacey Combs aka stace of spades, is a freelance artist + illustrator living in South Minneapolis. She is self-taught, but has had a little help here and there. Much of the work that she does is portraiture, however she does make a fair amount of fan art, Stacey often works with themes of environmental and social justice, drawing attention to unfairness and outdated social norms.
