Dominique is a multi-disciplinary artist working in collage, acrylic paint, and mixed media to create detailed artwork which is rich in symbolism and cultural references. Her intricate hand cut collage narratives are allegorical tableaux filled with tiny details, humor, and whimsy. Using medieval imagery, femmes fatales and cabaret dancers as her protagonists, she explores the flamboyance of enigmatic figures, positioning them as iconic time travelling heroines in imaginative and often psychedelic landscapes. Through her work, she re-envisions history and brings new meaning to cast away objects to offer a hypnotic perspective to the past.
Dominique has exhibited throughout the Midwest including group shows at Red Wing Arts, Hallberg Center for the Arts and St. Paul Benedictine Monastery as well as solo exhibitions at Alliance Francaise in Minneapolis and VOICES in Dubuque, Iowa. She was a featured artist on the Twin Cities Public Television MN Original and has been a contributing member of Price Krishnan Gallery in the Northrup King Building in Minneapolis, MN since 2014.
